Jeanne Lavin
Jeanne Lavin is a turnaround and restructuring professional with more than 35 years of experience advising distressed and underperforming companies. Since joining Altman and Company — a leading turnaround and restructuring advisory firm — in 1995, she has built a distinguished career at the intersection of finance, crisis management, and operational recovery, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor when Companies face their most critical challenges.
Throughout her career, Jeanne has served as Chief Restructuring Officer and Chief Financial Officer for numerous companies spanning a broad range of industries, including construction, consumer products, food products, manufacturing, and retail. In these roles, she has assumed executive-level responsibility for stabilizing operations, managing creditor relationships, and guiding organizations through complex reorganizations to successful resolution. Her deep expertise in debt restructuring, workouts, and bankruptcy advisory has proven equally valuable to companies navigating financial distress and those managing the challenges of rapid growth.
Jeanne has served as a Receiver in bankruptcy proceedings and as consultant and accountant for debtors in possession. Her bankruptcy advisory work extends nationally — she has performed audits and advisory services for standing Chapter 13 bankruptcy trustees across the United States, bringing rigorous financial discipline and independent judgment to every engagement. Her client experience spans the full spectrum — from small, privately held enterprises to Fortune 500 multinational corporations — across industries including real estate, mortgage banking, manufacturing, healthcare, and the not-for-profit sector. She has also conducted field examinations for lenders, providing critical assessments of borrower financial health and collateral position. This breadth of experience gives Jeanne a distinctive ability to quickly understand the financial and operational dynamics unique to each organization she serves.
Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint John Fisher College and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She has served on the Board of Directors of various entities including hospitals, not-for-profits, manufacturing and service related Companies.
