Bert Weil is an experienced financial advisor and interim CEO, CRO, and CFO with more than 35 years of experience serving as a borrower- and lender-retained advisor, both in and out of bankruptcy. He has advised 160+ entities, including public, private, and not-for-profit organizations, and has been invited as a recurring guest to boards of directors.
Bert tailors his level of involvement to each client’s specific needs, leading initiatives including budget and business plan development, debt refinancing and forbearance negotiations, organizational restructurings, balance-sheet restructurings, sell side initiatives, and profit improvement programs. He has been retained by a wide range of
stakeholders, including debtor companies, syndicated lender groups, private equity, and unsecured creditors’ committees.

During the past 35 years, Bert has worked with several leading restructuring and turnaround advisory firms. Prior to joining the restructuring community, he was the top financial officer of a 1,000-employee, NYC-based public company. Before that, he managed the NYC-based corporate FX and derivatives desk for a major international bank
and held FX and derivative business development roles at other leading financial institutions. He also held corporate finance, insurance, and public accounting positions earlier in his career.
