Personally identifiable information (“PII”) such as your name, address, e-mail address and other contact information may be required when you request information or register for an e-newsletter. We may share your PII with our business partners or others who work for us such as service providers, vendors, contractors and agents (collectively “Service Providers”) to enable them to perform services for us, such as sending the e-newsletter on our behalf. However, we ask our Service Providers not to use users’ PII information for any secondary purposes.
In the event of a corporate change in control resulting from, for example, a sale to, or merger with, another entity, or in the event of a sale of assets, KCP reserves the right to transfer your PII to the new party in control or who is acquiring assets.
To the extent permitted by law, any information collected over our website or concerning its use (PII and non-PII) may be disclosed to government authorities or third parties pursuant to a legal request, subpoena or other legal process. We may also use or disclose your PII as permitted by law to collect debts, fight fraud or protect the rights or property of KCP, our customers, our website, its users, or third parties, or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the law requires it.
Except as provided above, under no circumstances will KCP furnish or distribute PII to unaffiliated outside organizations, entities or companies without a user’s consent
KCP and certain service providers working on behalf of KCP may use technologies such as cookies and web beacons to enhance the information we have about your preferences and to learn about your visit. A cookie is a piece of information that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie allows KCP to determine that a visit has occurred within our site, as well as which pages were viewed and to store user preferences for the site. Cookies are not used to identify you and will not collect personal information. You can decide if and how your computer will accept cookies by configuring your preferences option within your web browser. If you choose to decline cookies, however, some of the functionality of this website may be impaired. Web beacons, also known as clear gifs and web bugs, allow us to recognize a cookie on your computer when you view a web page or e-mail. These electronic images may help us measure the effectiveness of our online advertising and/or e-mail campaigns by, for example, counting the number of individuals who visit our website or the number of individuals who open or act upon an e-mail message.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information in our possession from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, KCP does not warrant or represent that its level of security meets or exceeds any particular standard. You should keep in mind that no Internet transmission is ever 100% secure or error-free.
